After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in hospitality management and a focus on the food and beverage industry, I went on to work in the back and front of house of restaurants in Charleston, SC and New York City, while investing in a growing passion for photography.
Leaving restaurant operations to pursue a career in food media, I landed at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), taking on the role of the staff photographer, social media manager and video producer.
Four years later, with countless photo shoots, videos and social media posts under my belt, I left ICE to focus on photography and in 2019 I joined the e-commerce startup Goldbelly as their sole in-house product photographer. I cooked, prepared, styled, photographed and edited over 950 different products in my time there.
Through my work at Goldbelly and freelancing, my portfolio includes shoots for Ina Garten, Little Spoon, Megan Thee Stallion, Guy Fieri, Jose Andres, Francis Mallmann, Girl and the Goat, Sugargoat, Rev Run, Gramercy Tavern, Pat’s King of Steaks, Brique French Toastery, Doughnut Plant, Baz Bagel, Raoul’s, Blue Ribbon, Keen’s, Vosges, Georgetown Cupcake, and many more.
“I hired Casey as a Social Media & Content Associate at the Institute of Culinary Education, and during our 2+ years working together, she brought an incredible wealth of creativity and restaurant industry insight to our team. Few individuals I have worked with continually set the bar so high for themselves... she proved an invaluable resource for all visual communications, lending her talents as a photographer to a wide range of projects. I’ve been lucky to occasionally collaborate with her since our time at ICE, and look forward to continuing both our personal and professional relationship in the future.”
